🕍Meaning and Description
The emoji 🕍 shows a building with a rectangular shape and a triangular roof, flanked by two towers on either side. The building has two large windows on the front, and a triangular symbol above the entrance. There is a six-pointed star on the front of the building, which is called the Star of David and is a symbol of Judaism and Jewish identity.
🕍 represents a synagogue, which is a place of worship for Jews. Synagogues are also used for religious education, social events, and community service. The first synagogues were established in ancient times, after the destruction of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem by the Babylonians in 586 BCE.
The emoji is mainly used to represent synagogues, Jewish places of worship, or Jewish events like bar or bat mitzvahs. It's also a go-to emoji during Jewish holidays like Hanukkah🕎 or Passover. But beyond the obvious, some use it to symbolize a place of reflection or meditation, not necessarily tied to any religion. It can even represent other buildings or structures that have a similar shape or appearance to a synagogue.

Wikipedia: 🕍 Synagogue
A synagogue (; from Ancient Greek συναγωγή, synagogē, 'assembly'; Hebrew: בית כנסת beit knesset, 'house of assembly', or בית תפילה beit tfila, "house of prayer"; Yiddish: שול shul, Ladino: אשנוגה esnoga, 'bright as fire'; or קהל kahal) is a Jewish (or rarely Samaritan) house of worship. Synagogues have a place for prayer (the main sanctuary) and may also have rooms for study, a social hall, and offices. Some have a separate room for Torah study, called the בית מדרש beth midrash, lit. "house of study".
Synagogues are consecrated spaces used for the purpose of prayer, reading of the Tanakh (the entire Hebrew Bible, including the Torah), study and assembly; however, a synagogue is not necessary for Jewish worship. Halakha holds that communal Jewish worship can be carried out wherever ten Jews (a minyan) assemble. Worship can also be carried out alone or with fewer than ten people assembled. However, halakha considers certain prayers as communal prayers and therefore they may be recited only by a minyan. In terms of its specific ritual and liturgical functions, the synagogue does not replace the long-since destroyed Temple in Jerusalem.
In the New Testament, the word appears 56 times, mostly in the Synoptic Gospels, but also in the Gospel of John (John 9:22; 18:20) and the Book of Revelation (Rev. 2:9; 3:9). It is used in the sense of 'assembly' in the Epistle of James (James 2:2). Alternatively, the epistle of James, in Greek is clearly Ἰάκωβος or יעקב or anglicized to Jacob is place of assembly that was indeed Jewish and Jacob ben Joseph perhaps the elder. James (Jacob) 2:2 could easily be rendered "synagogue or συναγωγὴν". This was a Jewish house of worship and or teaching where Jesus was taught as Messiah. 🔗 Synagogue
